Hi Louise, Thank you for stopping by and for the feedback. There are a few quick tips available on the blog as well as some articles. I have been frantically writing posts so that I can schedule them out over the next few months. My goal is to create and post a quick tip as well as a full article every week starting next week…so stay tuned.

As for the gear; photography isn’t about the latest and greatest equipment; it’s about using what you have available and your creative mind. This image is a prefect example, it was created while I was out of work and healing from my car accident so funds to purchase props and equipment were non-existent. It was created with a chess piece from our set, a lamp from my living room and a sheet draped in front of the lamp. There was also cut pieces of foam board for reflectors, the camera is a mid-grade Nikon (d200)…I spent 0 dollars on the set-up. My best advise… don’t think of your point-n-shoot as a hindrance for making a beautiful piece of art… I think I’ll make that topic for an article too ;). I hope this helps, have a great day!
