Did you Know…Two Faced

Did you know…

That there was a study conducted by Kelsey Blackburn and James Schirillo from Wake Forest University which was done to determined which side of our face is most photogenic. They found that the left side of our faces are perceived and rated as more pleasant than pictures of the right side of our faces.  They feel that this is due to the fact that we present a greater intensity of emotion on the left side of our face.  Which side do you prefer? I feel that my right side is more pleasant in photographs.

    What an interesting study!
I also prefer the right side of my face to be photographed, so I suppose I’m exception to the rule? Thanks for sharing.

That’s an interesting bit of trivia. Personally I don’t prefer either side, which tends to make me even less photogenic when I spot a camera approaching.

The left side of our body is ‘controlled’ by the right side of the brain. The right side of the brain is the instinctive, emotional and creative side, maybe that’s why our left profile is more photogenic.
