Did You Know…My….What A Big Lens You Have

Did you know…

To-date the largest and most powerful camera lens in the world is the Canon 5200mm Super Telephoto Lens. This bad boy requires a car not a tripod.

•Focal Length: 5150mm
•Exposure Control: Light quantity is controlled with the use of built-in ND filters, corresponding to f/14, f/16, f/22, f/32
•Minimum Object Distance: 120 meters (Approx 393 feet!)
•Size: 500mm(wide) x 600mm(high) x 1890mm(deep) [20x24x75.6]
•Weight: 100kg (220 lbs) without stand.

For other odd ball pieces of photographic information (potentially useless but still fun), check out the Did you Know and Quotes Categories of my page. I will be posting one or two a week.

To all the shutterbugs…Happy Shooting!

You have some beautiful images on your blog. Thank you for stopping by to like some of my scribbles and pictures. It has also been so interesting to read your philosophy and ideas about art or not. Congratulations for winning the award and getting your prints published in someone else’s book. I only use my phone, but have thoroughly enjoyed what I can decide to do with what I see, where I stand and how I can use the natural light. It is very rewarding.
