Can’t get the ‘hang’ of arranging art? Use this simple tip from Lowes to get great looking results. You can create the illusion of a large piece of art, by hanging a variety of smaller pieces within a larger shape.
Pick a shape, a square or rectangle, and outline it on a wall using some painters tape. Next hang your individual art pieces, respecting those borders. You can use all the same shapes, similarly sized objects, or mix objects of different shapes and sizes. The only rule is to generally align them with the borders you create. That ‘tricks’ the eye into seeing the grouping as a unit.
Play with colors and textures to add interest, and try adding a shelf to display objects that can’t hang. It’s all about creating a collection of your favorite things and the only rule is to stay within the lines.
