What is Your Message?

With so many different subjects to photograph in this world, finding a subject to shoot is easy. Especially if you are venturing into a very active area like New York City for the first time.  The hard part is staying focused and showcasing your message in the photograph. It can be a challenge but instead of randomly snapping pictures at everything you encounter ask yourself what the main subject is, what message to you want to portray in the photograph?

This question should be asked for any type of photograph, not just active urban areas, but wide open Landscape photographs all the way down to Marco Nature photographs; even your portraits of people. Every thing you photograph should have a message that the view can relate to when the view the photograph. That is what gives the WOW factor to a photograph.

Once you identify the subject and the message, photograph it from different perspectives or vantage points. Secondly, if possible, take your time and study the details in the entire frame; sometime too much detail in a photograph could hinder the ability to see the real subject of the photograph.
