Summer Shadow is a nature photo of a long shadows from a large maple tree and a meandering walking path on the grounds of Winterthur Museum located in Wilmington, Delaware. This photograph was created because of the deep shadows the early evening sun was creating with the tree; the shadow of the tree lined up perfectly with the lines of the pathway that was laid out in front of it, creating a nice flow between the natural and man made lines in the scene.
